ADCO Constructions Office Block

NCS were contracted by ADCO Constructions to carry out all of the waterproofing requirements for their multi-level office block in Southport.

The logistics of the site and the close proximity of adjacent buildings meant that the below ground, 4 level basement had to be constructed from ground level down. Waterproofing of the basement was successfully carried out using Xypex Admix C-1000NF to the shotcrete lining between the piles, combined with the use of Kuniseal C31 as the waterstop and Xypex Admix C-1000NF added to the mix for the basement slab.

Rawmat high density bentonite membrane was used around the blockwork risers and beneath the ramp slabs. A flexible acrylic membrane was used for all internal wet areas and a flexible cementitious membrane for exposed rooftop areas.
NCS also provided protection and tanking to the planter boxes using Polythane CT, an elastomeric, pitch extended, polyurethane membrane system. The building was completed on time and remains watertight.
