Project - Concrete Basement Waterproofing, NSW

NCS provided a complete waterproofing solution for a three level basement carpark, positioned 7m into the water table. A number of treatment solutions were utilised by NCS, including Xypex Admixture into the basement slab, waterstop installations, waterproofing of concrete piles and Xypex Admixture-dosed shotcrete.

Xypex Admix C-1000NF was dosed into the entire basement ground slabs and lift pits, combining Kuniseal C-31 waterstop to all joints including floor/wall joints against the concrete piles.

Following completion of the remaining carpark levels, NCS treated the "V" joint between all concrete piles (558 in total each 7m in length) with Kuniseal waterstop under a spray-applied Xypex Megamix II application.

Xypex-dosed shotcrete and Kuniseal waterstop was again used against the concrete piles to the very bottom level walls as a final finish, to ensure additional waterproofing integrity for the concrete piles.

NCS solved a major waterproofing problem in a difficult scenario for the client with a complete waterproofing solution customised to the project's requirements. After almost two years of ongoing onsite work, NCS has successfully prevented water ingress to the entire three level basement carpark, completed within the client's building schedule time frames.
